The Day Off Float

With a toddler, planned weekends, and work, things tend to get a bit crazy and finding the time to float can be a challenge. Pretty tickled I was able to take the day off Monday, throw the Flycraft into the bed of the truck, and meet a buddy on the river for an afternoon float.

It's always a good time exploring a new section of river and catching fish when you do it. If you are local to Massachusetts, you know the Swift River and both the frustration and magic it can bring. It can be a bit of a zoo at times wading around other anglers and floating just brings you to another section of the park - an area full of kayaks, jon boats, and even bass boats. All that being said, between the traffic and commotion there is calm and some pretty awesome sight fishing. It is a slow flow but it usually makes for an epic day away.
